Job Title: Patient Support Specialist – NJ Late Shift
Location: Whippany, New Jersey (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are seeking empathetic, detail-oriented professionals to join our team supporting patients in accessing prescription medications. Our team is committed to delivering exceptional service and guiding patients, physicians, and pharmacies through the process of program eligibility, reimbursement, and access to care.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to inbound and outbound phone calls related to patient support, program information, and reimbursement assistance.
- Interact directly with patients, physicians, and pharmacies to facilitate access to copay assistance programs and resolve inquiries.
- Address requests for escalation and coordinate internally with other teams such as Program Management and IT to resolve issues as needed.
- Assist with additional administrative tasks as required, including mail sorting and claims processing, to ensure efficient service delivery.
Required:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in health care, patient care, or case management within a high-volume contact center or similar environment.
- Strong customer empathy, effective communication skills (oral and written), and high emotional intelligence with a focus on patient-centered service.
- Adaptability to various situations, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills demonstrated in supporting patient needs.
