  • The Marketing Lead Rheumatology Pre-Filled Syringe (PFS) will demonstrate personal leadership to fully execute client’s Patient Value operating model and will develop and implement business strategies that maximize exposure, financial impact and opportunities for company assets in the Rheumatology (PFS) market
  • The Marketing Lead Rheumatology (PFS) will work with colleagues across the Rheumatology (PFS) CORE, Market Access, Ecosystem and Clinical Development to build and deliver differentiated value solutions for Rheumatology (PFS) patients and stakeholders. This individual will be responsible for pre-launch, launch, and in-line management, strategies targeted at stakeholders who support Patient Value creation, including promotional and access strategies across multiple channels (i.e. sales force, non-personal etc.)
  • Responsibilities would also include the development of customer insight plans, business reviews and generating brand plans. To deliver these items successfully the individual must partner and collaborate with key internal teams including Operational Excellence, Market Access & Global Missions, Medical and Finance

Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

  • Builds and leads the development and execution of marketing strategies, tactics and campaigns that drive the asset’s US commercial objectives, supporting in-market business management
  • Directly influences global commercialization strategies including mid-term (3 Year) and long-term (10 Year) plans
  • Partners within the marketing team structure to meet the needs of all stakeholders commensurate with corporate strategies
  • Works with cross functional partners to lead and develop programs and tactics anchored in patient & stakeholder understanding, developed within marketing principles and with effective metrics
  • Partners and collaborates with Customer Facing Execution teams for strategic alignment towards business strategies
  • Leads and drives implementation of integrated cross-functional business plans including strategic value proposition development that links differentiated clinical data, relevant patient support services, access and marketplace understanding; Development of tailored engagement plans with unique stakeholder types; Monitoring and measurement of key initiatives
  • Deep marketplace understanding to anticipate future trends and adjust Rheumatology (PFS) strategies accordingly, including go-to market models, pricing and contracting, etc.
  • Partners with others to create a curated network of Rheumatology advocates that assist in creating awareness of client solutions – including KOLs, Speakers, Advocacy groups etc. focused on the Immunology patient
  • Works closely with other functional areas including internal support groups, such as Finance, Sourcing, Operational Excellence, Market Access, Legal, Missions, Medical, and Regulatory Affairs, as well as external agencies and suppliers in development and support of marketing initiatives
  • Able to work effectively and compliantly per client compliance policies – as well as within the regulations and policies established by various regulatory bodies
  • Applies creativity, innovation & out-of-box thinking to solve complex business / marketplace issues
  • Developing, coordinating and executing annual business and brand plans as per schedule
  • Accountable for the development and successful management of an annual brand budget; collaborate with functional leadership to ensure financial objectives are met and resources reassigned if required
  • Ensure that the marketing processes, programs, and internal reports are developed, implemented, and effectively administered to be consistent with client’s corporate guidance and all regulatory, legal, ethical SOPs
  • From time to time, may participate in the evaluation of and commercial unmet need for external assets clients might consider adding to the product portfolio
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree (MBA) preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience, with at least 3 of those years in U.S. immunology marketing preferred
  • Proven leadership abilities
  • Knowledge and application of business planning and leadership principles such as data analysis, goal setting, action plans, monitoring tools to develop and implement business plans
  • Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate effectively in a complex, matrixed commercial environment in partnership with other internal/external commercial stakeholders (sales, managed markets, market research, regulatory, medical affairs, global department, public relations, clinical development, etc.)
  • Experience in product marketing, portfolio marketing/strategy, and development of executable go-to market plans generated from leveraging key customer insights. Experience with qualitative and quantitative market research
  • Proven track record of meeting tight deadlines and organizational skills to be productive in an environment of competing priorities—ability to multitask with multiple stakeholders while effectively prioritizing
  • Excellent communication, negotiating, and interpersonal skills for a wide variety of audiences including senior management required
  • Innovative leader with strong, demonstrated leadership skills (having an innate ability to lead a diverse and talented team of individuals towards a shared vision – focused on meeting the needs of our customers)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills along with the ability to influence others
  • Successful people management experience with direct reports and leading teams
  • Demonstrated success in project, vendor, and budget management
  • Proven experience writing and presenting business plans
  • Ability to effectively use the Microsoft Office Suite of software
  • Willingness/ability to travel domestically. International travel may be required
