Assistant Project Controls Specialist

Job Title: Assistant Project Controls Specialist
Job Responsibilities:

  • Support all aspects of project controls and reporting, including project change management, cost control, progress measurement, schedule development, and schedule control.
  • Assist with project set-up, data input, log maintenance, and report generation in the Enterprise Planning & Controls software.
  • Aid in creating Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and developing, implementing, and maintaining scheduling reports, cost reports, cash flows, and forecasts on small projects.
  • Responsible for following project execution plans and reviewing and approving Purchase Orders and/or Subcontracts for proper coding.
  • Assist with upstream (prime contract) and downstream (purchase order & subcontract) change orders, development of a cash flow, and various levels of schedules.
  • Assist with coordinating project schedules, development of scheduling reports, updating and documenting schedule progress, and maintaining an earned value management system.

Skills Required:

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field and 2 years experience or applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
  • Experience with Oracle Primavera P6 preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to obtain OSHA 10-hour safety certification.
  • Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred. Involvement on campus or in the community is preferred.
