Job Title: Assistant Purchaser
Location: Wallingford, CT (Travel 0–25% of the time to client sites in Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, and Kentucky)
Job Responsibilities:
- Support procurement needs and expedite deliverables for active projects from RFP development to project closeout.
- Assist in preparing major RFP packages, including pricing forms and scope of work.
- Manage minor material RFPs, solicit quotes, and make purchase recommendations.
- Conduct detailed analysis of purchasing items to identify trends and improvements.
- Prepare Key Performance Indicator reports for supplier meetings.
- Expedite supplier schedules and update material status reports for the project team.
Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Excel, including pivot tables and advanced formulas.
- Experience with procurement software and tools like Power BI and Microsoft Forms.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently.
- Team-oriented and proactive in driving efficient processes.
