Job Title: Associate Research Scientist
Location: Seattle, WA (Onsite)
Join our dynamic Gene Delivery and Editing Process Development (GDEPD) team as an Associate Research Scientist. You’ll be at the forefront of developing groundbreaking cell therapies, focusing on the production and purification of lipid nanoparticles (LNPs). This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse range of gene editing technologies and collaborate with various process development groups.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct and troubleshoot process development experiments for LNP production and purification.
- Assist in designing experiments and interpreting data related to LNP production and purification.
- Manage sample and data flow and perform analyses.
- Optimize workflows for assessing new production and purification methods.
- Support the transition from research to development, including early-stage molecular assessment activities.
- Participate in lab maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills Required:
- STEM degree with 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Extensive experience with TFF and sterile filtration of biological molecules.
- Proficiency with JMP for DoE design and analyses.
- Strong team player with independent motivation.
- Excellent oral presentation and technical writing skills.
- Ability to leverage literature, internal and external resources to solve problems.
- Passion for identifying and advancing cutting-edge technologies.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
- Experience with production and purification of LNPs or similar molecules is preferred
- Experience with handling of nucleic acids is nice to have
- Familiarity with LNP characterization techniques (HPLC, DLS, MALs, NTA, etc.).
- Experience with downstream purification of biological molecules (AKTA, chromatography, TFF, viral filtration, etc.) is preferred
