Job Title: Construction Business Analyst 
Location: Houston, TX (Remote with 50% travel to different client sites)
Duration: 8 Months
Type: Contract

Job Description:

  • Demonstrated client coordination and subcontractor management for full life cycle construction projects including planning and work breakdown structures, pre-construction services, sourcing and procurement of contracts, contract administration, scheduling, cost estimating, quality management, project reporting, and project closeout
  • Review, analyze, and recommend improvements to construction management processes and internal controls
  • Lead construction contract reviews, project oversight and monitoring functions for large capital projects
  • Define and implement recommendations including construction management policies, procedures, processes, internal controls, roles, responsibilities, reporting, and supporting information technology
  • Conduct project reviews to evaluate the percentage of completion, probability of recovery for change orders and claims, reasonableness of the estimate to complete construction, schedule delays, defective specifications, and loss of productivity
  • Work with engagement teams to perform fieldwork, including data collection, analysis, and work paper documentation, prepare, edit, and proofread narrative reports and presentations of observations and recommendations; work closely, but independently, under the guidance of Director and Partners
  • Perform analysis using Excel, PowerPoint and other data visualization tools to produce client deliverables, reports and dashboards
  • Experience using various project management tools such as Procore, E-Builder, Primavera, Enterprise, Prolog, and other toolsets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, documentation, records retention, and work paper organizational skills
  • Business Analyst Civil Engineering Construction Management (1-3 years of experience)
  • Field Experience – working for a contractor or construction management company
  • Experience for a contractor owner or Developer
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Willingness and ability to travel
