Job Title: Data Center Chief Engineer

Job Summary:
- We are seeking a Data Center Chief Engineer to lead the operations and maintenance of critical infrastructure systems facility. This role is responsible for managing engineering staff, maintaining budgetary oversight, and ensuring the integrity and performance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, leadership experience, and a proactive approach to safety and operational excellence.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee budget preparation and management, ensuring expenses and capital projects align with our client's guidelines.
- Manage time records and overtime of Operating Engineers, ensuring costs stay within budget.
- Conduct monthly inspections of building and equipment conditions, initiating repairs or replacements as needed.
- Develop and implement measures to mitigate fire, safety, and environmental hazards.
- Coordinate with local authorities on issues affecting the building, and lead emergency procedures and drills.
- Assist in tenant construction coordination and capital improvements, ensuring efficient energy use and cost-effective services.
Skills Required:
- EPA 608 certification and NFPA70E training.
- Technical degree in HVAC or related field, with 7-10 years of relevant industry experience.
- Supervisory experience, preferably as an Assistant Chief Engineer.
- Comprehensive knowledge of building HVAC, electrical, plumbing, automation, and life safety/fire protection systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical procedures, regulations, codes, and building-related documents.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with tenants, contractors, and team members.
