Job Title: Facilities Buyer
Location: Merritt Island, Florida (On-site)
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced procurement specialist to oversee the acquisition of facilities goods and services and play a vital role in supporting operations, maintenance, and capital improvement projects. Our team values strategic thinking, effective negotiation, and operational excellence to ensure timely and cost-efficient procurement activities.
Responsibilities:
- Manage supplier relationships and support the execution of facilities operations, maintenance, and capital improvement projects across multiple sites.
- Prepare and issue Requests for Proposal/Requests for Quote, perform price analyses, and develop negotiation strategies for goods and services related to facilities.
- Construct various contract types, including service agreements, construction contracts, and long-range procurement or sourcing partnerships.
- Lead procurement activities from requisition through final invoice payment, ensuring resolution of process issues and achievement of program objectives.
Required:
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in procurement and supplier management, with emphasis on facilities, MRO, or indirect categories.
- Experience negotiating and managing multiple contract types, including Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Time and Material (T&M), and service-based agreements.
- Understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and familiarity with compliance and safety standards such as OSHA.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or similar with a minimum of 5 years of supply chain experience, or a Master’s degree with at least 3 years of related experience.
