Job Title: Materials Designer
Location: Beaverton, OR (Hybrid)
Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Materials Designer. Our team is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of material innovation, focusing on creating functional and visually impactful outdoor gear. This role is pivotal in driving product excellence and innovation within the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the material design process from ideation to commercialization, utilizing the latest digital and technical advancements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align materials with the brand’s mission of creating durable and sustainable outdoor gear.
- Explore new technologies and enhance materials for seasonal narratives and iconic products.
- Advocate for design philosophy, ensuring materials meet the technical demands and environmental challenges faced by athletes.
Required:
- 5-7 years of experience in a similar role, with proficiency in Adobe Suite and materials knowledge.
- Experience with technical/performance gear and a collaborative nature for cross-functional work.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently with little oversight.
- Footwear experience is highly preferred, along with 3D rendering and prototyping skills.
