Patient Support Specialist (Day Shift 2)

Title: Patient Support Specialist
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
 (Coraopolis/Moon Township)
Hours: 11:00 am – 7:30 pm EST

Summary:
SSi People is looking for several Patient Support Specialists. In this role you would be responsible for providing patient healthcare services and enabling access to care for prescription medications. This role involves interacting directly with patients, physicians, and pharmacies to support access to care and provide assistance with copay programs. The Specialist is part of a high-touch service team that manages the patient experience from start to finish, offering program information, eligibility, reimbursement support, and general assistance.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Respond to inbound and outbound phone calls and claims from patients, physicians, and pharmacies regarding access to care and reimbursement needs.
  • Focus on patient empathy and the consumer experience to ensure ease of use of program goals and medication adherence.
  • Process claims and answer phone calls based on volume.
  • Refer requests for escalation as needed and work with other internal teams to resolve issues.
  • Perform other assignments as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Call Center experience a plus but not required.
  • 1+ years of experience in healthcare, pharmacy benefits, medical billing, or case management in a high-volume contact center or similar environment preferred but not required.
  • Fluent in English/Spanish (a plus).
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to convey information clearly and effectively
