Job Title: Patient Support Specialist – Late Shift

The Patient Support Specialist – Late Shift is a critical role within our client’s organization, responsible for providing comprehensive healthcare services to patients, primarily focusing on facilitating access to prescription medications. This role involves direct interaction with patients, healthcare professionals, and pharmacies, supporting our client’s copay assistance programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering a superior patient experience from initiation to completion, providing detailed information about the program, eligibility criteria, and reimbursement support.
  • Responding to both inbound and outbound calls from patients, healthcare professionals, and pharmacies, addressing their needs related to care access and reimbursement.
  • Referring to requests for escalation as necessary and collaborating with internal departments to ensure issues are resolved promptly and efficiently.
  • Undertaking additional tasks and responsibilities as required by the organization.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Prior experience in a high-volume contact center environment, preferably within the healthcare or case management sector.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy benefits, healthcare insurance, and/or medical billing is preferred.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey information in a clear and effective manner.
  • High level of customer focus, empathy, and emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to adapt to various situations and demonstrate effective problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in English; fluency in Spanish is a plus.
