Job Title: Permitting Specialist I
Location: Houston, TX – Hybrid work schedule (Home-based on Mondays and Fridays, Office-based on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, 8am – 5pm)
Job Responsibilities:
- Obtain necessary entitlement approvals to ensure our client’s external customers are operational on time and within budget.
- Provide timely system updates and propose jurisdictional permitting and zoning solutions to both internal and external customers.
- Submit and secure entitlements, approvals, and agreements from jurisdictions for the installation of our client’s facilities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues, facilitate progress, and achieve milestone targets.
- Represent our client before local agencies and jurisdictional planning authorities.
- Manage third-party vendors as required, and assist in preparing authorization analyses for new project opportunity bids.
Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- JD or legal background is a plus but not mandatory.
- Minimum of two years of experience in municipal planning, Land Use capacity, or Wireless Industry.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Keen attention to detail and adaptability to a rapidly evolving industry.
- Experience presenting and speaking to public government entities is desirable.
