Safety Data Sheet Writer

We are seeking Safety Data Sheet Writer to join our team (Hybrid Role)!

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our EHSS team as an SDS Writer. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to our mission of driving long-term company and stakeholder value while ensuring compliance with hazard communication regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect, compile, and document scientific and regulatory data related to materials.
  • Prepare toxicological classification forms and author Safety Data Sheets (SDS) using software in SAP.
  • Complete and revise SDS requests within established timelines.
  • Communicate regularly with toxicologists, scientists, and chemists for supporting documents.
  • Maintain material documentation files and perform physical classification of materials.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Marketing, and Product Management to produce required documentation for stakeholders.
  • Support the development, planning, organization, and execution of strategies to maintain a compliant hazard communication program.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in EHS, Toxicology, Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 1-2 years of SDS authoring experience required; experience with SAP is a plus.
  • Regulatory affairs/Product stewardship experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Global Harmonized System (GHS).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools: SharePoint, Access, Excel, Outlook.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
