Job Summary:

  • Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual with expertise in enzymology and biochemical assay development to support small molecule drug discovery. The successful candidate should possess strong technical expertise, exceptional hands-on laboratory skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, and enjoy working in a fast-paced multi-functional team environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to assay strategies and apply scientific principles to assay design, development, and troubleshooting in support of small molecule drug discovery.
  • Develop and execute biochemical assays, converting them into high-throughput screening (HTS) format to meet project goals.
  • Apply sophisticated biochemical and biophysical assay techniques for hits validation, compound-target engagement, and SAR study.
  • Advance biochemical/biophysical assay screening capabilities and evaluate new assay technologies and experimental approaches.
  • Strong data analysis capabilities and ability to communicate and present research results.
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams and external partners to enable project progression.

Skills Required:

  • Experience in evaluating and implementing new technologies to enhance screen capabilities and assay performance for small molecules.
  • Deep understanding of the development, validation & execution of a wide array of binding & functional activity-based assays such as TR-FRET, FP, PCR etc.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work in a flexible team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in assay development to screen and characterize covalent inhibitors is a plus.
  • Experience with microplate readers and automated liquid handling systems.
  • Expertise in handling, analyzing and visualizing assay data sets and proficiency in software platforms such as GraphPad Prism.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Doctorate degree OR Masters degree and 2 years of experience OR Bachelors degree and 4 years of experience.
