Job Title: Senior Human Factors Engineer
Location: Thousand Oaks, CA (Onsite)
Job Summary:
- Join our dynamic team as a Senior Human Factors Engineer, where you’ll be a key player in creating instructional materials for our client’s combination products/drug delivery devices. This is a full-time, on-site role for a 1-year contract, with the possibility of renewal.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage instructional design projects, including Instructions for Use (IFUs)
- Create both low- and high-fidelity digital samples of instructional materials
- Support usability studies in a design-test-refine-test model
- Hand-build small batches of prototypes for concept development and usability studies
- Maintain history records to capture rationale for changes in instruction development
- Support process improvement initiatives within the group and cross-functional partners
Skills Required:
- 5-10 years of instruction design experience, including proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
- 3-5 years of experience in prototyping small volume cartons, leaflets, and labels
- 3-5 years of experience managing design projects and/or teams
- Background in medical, healthcare, medical devices, and/or pharmaceuticals
- Excellent time management skills and high-level attention to detail
- Ability to balance multiple detail-oriented projects
Basic Qualifications:
- Doctorate degree OR
- Master’s degree and 2 years of experience OR
- Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of experience OR
- Associate’s degree and 8 years of experience OR
- High school diploma / GED and 10 years of experience
