Job Title: Senior Process Development Engineer

Location: Thousand Oaks, CA (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite)

Pay Rate: $48/hr – $50/hr

Job Description:

  • We are seeking a self-motivated Senior Process Development Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will co-lead a product, utilizing their expertise in drug product fill finish processing and holistic DP process knowledge. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive excellence and innovation in both large and small molecule drug product manufacturing.
  • Act as a technical expert, providing innovative solutions to complex challenges in formulation, filtration, filling, and lyophilization of parenteral products.
  • Develop and characterize drug product processes and transfer new technologies to commercial sterile fill/finish sites.
  • Provide process development expertise for commercial drug product processing.
  • Lead and participate in global cross-functional teams, fostering strong relationships and driving change and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot issues with drug product processing technologies and equipment, using data-driven analyses and visualizations.

Skills Required:

  • Advanced degree in Chemical/Biomedical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry/Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or related field.
  • 10+ years of drug product process development experience in the pharmaceuticals/biotechnology industry.
  • Experience with unit operation for parenteral manufacturing (i.e., filling, filtration, mixing, etc.), specifically lyophilization.
  • Strong skills in applying fundamental engineering and scientific principles to the design and implementation of protein freeze-thawing, filtration, mixing, filling, and/or lyophilisation processes.
  • Project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects and evaluate project resource requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of Quality systems, Drug Product Manufacturing, and Validation.
