Job Title: Software Architect – Client Server
Location: Pleasanton, CA
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and optimize search solutions, integrating them with Java-based systems.
- Ensure the search infrastructure performs optimally and scales effectively.
- Collaborate closely with team members to deliver effective search solutions that enhance user experiences and meet business requirements.
Skills Required:
- Proficiency in Java programming (version 8 or later preferred).
- Extensive experience with search engines like Elasticsearch and Apache Solr.
- Expertise in creating and managing search indexing pipelines.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and storage architectures.
- Experience with microservice architecture and RESTful APIs.
- Proficiency in tools and frameworks such as Spring Boot, Hibernate, and Maven.
Additional Skills:
- Familiarity with machine learning methods for search relevancy and ranking.
- Expertise in cloud platforms (GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with front-end technologies (React, Angular) to enhance collaboration with UI teams.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and procedures.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with Git or other version control systems.
Education:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in Java development with a strong focus on search technologies.
- Must have Site Search experience, preferably with Bloom reach or Elasticsearch.
