Job Title: Sr Engineer – Software
Location: Thousand Oaks, CA (Remote work is an option)
Join our client’s dynamic team in Thousand Oaks, CA as a Senior Software Engineer – Manufacturing Execution System (MES). This role is pivotal in supporting the manufacturing process through the generation of electronic documentation, tracking metrics, and facilitating communication between operations teams and scientific groups. The focus will be on Electronic Batch Records for Drug Substance manufacturing.
Job Responsibilities:
- Generate Manufacturing Electronic Batch Records (EBR) using PAS-X (Korber)
- Validate new Electronic Batch Records (Application Lifecycle Management)
- Assist in implementing new MES functionality
- Develop standard work and business practices for new MES functionality
- Contribute to Lean Transformation by recording NPI/EBR metrics and applying continuous improvement tools
- Participate in projects to introduce new products and/or advance new manufacturing technologies into the plant
Skills Required:
- Proficiency in PAS X (Korber) software for electronic batch records with a detailed understanding of editing and validation
- Strong knowledge of PAS-X integration with external programs (SAP, PI, and Delta V)
- Solid operations knowledge of drug substance manufacturing and a broad understanding of related disciplinary areas in bioprocessing
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, or Computer Science with experience in biotechnology
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team
- Doctorate Degree or Master Degree and 3 years of engineering experience or Bachelor Degree and 5 years of engineering experience or Associate degree and 10 years of engineering experience or high school diploma/GED and 12 years of engineering experience
