Job Title: Staff Engineering Technician
Location: Overland Park, Kansas
Job Responsibilities:
- Utilize Autodesk Inventor with SDS in the substation industry, supporting drafting and design tasks.
- Perform advanced engineering technician functions with minimal supervision, using electronic applications and document control processes.
- Provide technical guidance and delegate work assignments to other engineering professionals.
- Apply knowledge of engineering standards, systems, and document control to ensure project compliance.
- Coordinate project deliverables with other teams to minimize errors and support field activities.
- Share knowledge of the latest technologies and processes, contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
Skills Required:
- 3-5 years of experience with Autodesk Inventor and SDS in the substation industry.
- Strong understanding of substation industry standards and practices.
- Ability to work independently and provide technical guidance to others.
- Proficient in document control and engineering standards application.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills.
- Proactive in knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Education:
- Diploma or Certificate preferred.
- Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.
