Job Title: Technical Program Manager
Location: San Jose, CA or Remote
As a Technical Program Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of our client’s security initiatives, driving strategic projects across various security domains. This high-impact role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of security programs and their alignment with the organization’s objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead key security initiatives across Security Engineering, SOC, AppSec, and GRC, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Handle ad hoc operational needs, identifying opportunities for process enhancements and operational efficiencies.
- Prioritize and address urgent security requests, collaborating with relevant stakeholders for timely resolution.
- Collaborate with IT, Engineering, and other teams for seamless execution of security projects.
- Establish KPIs, track progress, and report on security program status, holding stakeholders accountable for meeting milestones and timelines.
- Influence cross-functional teams to align with security initiatives and organizational priorities.
Skills Required:
- 5+ years of experience in technical program management, with a focus on security, cloud environments, or software development.
- Basic understanding of core security principles for cross-functional collaboration in Application Security and Infrastructure/IT security.
- Proven ability to manage and deliver complex technical programs or projects.
- Strong understanding of security frameworks, standards, and best practices (e.g., NIST, ISO, SOC 2).
- Experience in tracking KPIs, reporting on security program/project performance, and holding teams accountable for results.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Proven ability to influence across all levels of an organization, from technical teams to leadership.
- Certifications like PMP, CISSP, or CISM are a plus but not required.
