Job Title: Transmission/Substation Senior Project Manager
Location: Akron, OH
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our team, working on a program of transmission line, substation, and communications construction projects. This role will report directly to the Lead Project Manager and will be responsible for managing individual projects, ensuring their successful completion within the specified dates, and maintaining professional relationships with all project stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage 10-20 projects from inception to completion
- Develop project work plans with Engineering & Client Stakeholders
- Coordinate environmental and non-environmental permitting review and submittal
- Develop RFP packages for construction bid events, evaluate contractor bids and recommend award to the Client
- Drive schedule and project progress during construction, often on-site
- Maintain and be accountable for project budget and financial forecast updates
Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or related field from an accredited curriculum
- Minimum of five (5) years of high voltage transmission line or substation construction project management experience
- Detailed knowledge of substations, networks/telecommunications, or transmission lines
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel (projects are within a 1-3 hr radius from the reporting location)
