Job Summary:
- We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Engineering Technician specializing in electrical systems to join our dynamic team. Job Responsibilities:
- Support engineering teams by executing technical tasks with a solid grasp of engineering principles.
- Use digital tools and design software like CAD and 3D modeling to create and update technical documents and drawings.
- Offer technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering technicians.
- Focus on electrical projects with 2-3 years of drafting experience, especially in substation schematics and wiring.
- Work with Autodesk AutoCAD; experience with Microstation is a plus.
- Be based in Chattanooga, TN, to collaborate closely with our client’s local team.
Skills Required:
- Stay updated on industry standards, systems, and document control practices.
- Apply quality assurance knowledge to ensure accurate and compliant deliverables.
- Demonstrate precision and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Utilize various applications to enhance methods and processes for deliverables.
- Develop deliverables from diverse design inputs and perform basic computations.
- Coordinate with other project groups to minimize errors and enhance efficiency.
Education and Experience:
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in electrical drafting and design.
