Job Title: Backup & Legal Hold Platform Engineer
Location: Remote

Job Summary:
Join our team as a Backup & Legal Hold Platform Engineer, where you’ll enhance and support data protection and legal hold services across cloud and on-premises environments. You’ll focus on optimizing the Commvault platform and supporting Microsoft 365 legal hold workflows, contributing to the reliability and automation of backup services in AWS, Azure, and on-prem environments. This is a contract-to-hire role for a mid-level engineer eager to expand their platform ownership and automation skills.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and support enterprise backup and recovery services using Commvault across AWS, Azure, and on-prem environments.
• Configure and maintain backup policies, retention, and recovery workflows.
• Support legal hold and eDiscovery for Microsoft 365 workloads, including Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
• Participate in on-call rotation for backup incidents and restore requests.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with internal teams and vendor support.

Skills Required:
• Experience with enterprise backup and recovery platforms (Commvault preferred).
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 backup, legal hold, or eDiscovery workflows.
• Knowledge of AWS and/or Azure fundamentals.
• Experience in supporting production systems and on-call rotations.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
