Job Title: Operating Engineer 3
Location: Albany , New York (On-site)
Job Summary: We are searching for an engineering professional to support critical facility operations by maintaining and optimizing building systems. Our team ensures reliability and compliance, supporting essential functions across facilities while minimizing risk and maximizing operational continuity.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance, monitoring, and adjustment of all facility systems to ensure seamless operation in compliance with standards.
- Install and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and associated equipment, including pumps, motors, compressors, and HVAC components.
- Record equipment readings, analyze performance, and resolve issues by troubleshooting system malfunctions or implementing repairs as needed.
- Oversee contractors, ensure work is conducted according to established protocols, and maintain thorough records of engineering operations and critical training.
Experience/Minimum Requirements:
- Hands-on background in critical facility environments, including experience with UPS systems, emergency generators, and switchgear equipment.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent, with an Operating Engineer’s license (SMA) or equivalent, and Universal Technician certification for CFCs.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and CMMS platforms, with the ability to interpret technical documents independently.
- Strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and a proven record of providing high-quality customer service in technical environments.
