Job Title: Regional Electrical Engineer – Renewables

Job Summary:
Join our client as a Regional Electrical Engineer, focusing on wind generators and large electric motors within the Renewables sector. This role is pivotal in providing technical leadership and expertise, ensuring excellence throughout the motor and generator lifecycle. You'll be based at our client's technical service center, offering hands-on engineering support and contributing to the development of technical standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a technical expert for wind generators and large motors, overseeing their lifecycle from analysis to repair.
- Conduct performance testing and troubleshooting for motors and generators both in-shop and on-site.
- Lead root cause failure analysis and develop repair instructions.
- Guide redesign efforts and approve coil designs and insulation systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and support warranty investigations.
- Drive continuous improvement and standardization initiatives.
Skills Required:
- Over 15 years of experience with AC motors/generators and 5+ years in renewable energy.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
- Expertise in AC/DC insulation systems and high-voltage motor testing.
- Proficient in CAD tools and familiar with IEEE standards.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and willingness to travel up to 50%.
