Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Waltham, Massachusetts (Hybrid)
Job Summary: We are seeking talent to support project teams in delivering effective electric capital construction cost management and contract negotiation oversight. Our team values strong communication and analytical skills to ensure projects are completed efficiently and compliantly within organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
- Support coordination of project cost management, contract compliance, negotiation, and dispute resolution to deliver assigned construction workplans.
- Review change orders to verify contract compliance, pricing accuracy, timely submission, and substantiation with proper documentation.
- Foster collaborative relationships with external contractors and internal stakeholders including Construction, Project/Program Management, Procurement, Engineering, Safety, and Emergency Planning.
- Assist with bid project development, identifying contract risk prior to award, and support the External Line Resource Unit during weather events.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 3-5 years of experience in contracts, estimating, engineering, construction management, or project management within the electric utility or similar technical industry.
- 3-5 years of contract negotiation and change order management experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Power BI, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word; valid driver’s license required.
