Job Title: Mainframe Developer
Location: Remote
Job Summary: Our team is seeking a technical expert to support the development and maintenance of mainframe applications. We look for professionals who can ensure seamless integration, performance optimization, and provide technical support in upgrading mainframe systems.
Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL and related technologies.
- Develop and support batch processing jobs, ensuring efficient job streams and handling abends.
- Build and maintain online applications utilizing CICS and IMS TM, encompassing transaction and program changes.
- Conduct debugging, root-cause analysis, and production issue resolution, participating in support rotations as necessary.
Required:
- Hands-on experience with IBM z/OS mainframe development, with a focus on COBOL.
- Proficiency in JCL and batch job processing concepts, including scheduling and process coordination.
- Experience with DB2 SQL development and data handling, alongside IMS Database skills.
- Familiarity with SDLC practices and secure coding to comply with audit and data handling standards.
