Job Summary: Our team is dedicated to transforming complex rights and licensing data into reliable, high-impact insights and operational tools. We empower the organization to expand its product offerings and ensure accurate publishing and licensing operations through data-driven solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Produce and maintain recurring reporting (e.g., market-level and partner-facing reporting).
  • Triage and fulfill a portion of incoming requests (e.g., ad hoc data pulls, analysis, or clarifications) in our support channels.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to translate ambiguous publishing/licensing related business questions into clear analytical problems, measurable success metrics, and actionable insights.
  • Design, build, and maintain data products that improve how teams consume and trust data (e.g., curated datasets, reusable metrics layers, dashboards, and self-serve tooling).
  • Develop and productionize automation that reduces manual work and improves operational consistency (e.g., scheduled analyses, pipelines, validation checks, and monitoring/alerting).
  • Build and evaluate statistical and/or machine learning models to support decision-making, prioritization, and forecasting.
  • Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences through concise narratives, visualizations, and stakeholder-ready summaries.
  • Contribute to iterative delivery: prototype quickly, incorporate feedback, and harden solutions into maintainable, well-documented workflows.

Requirements

  • Experience implementing all parts of the data science workflow: data cleaning, data analysis, modelling.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with large, complex datasets.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders and translate business questions into data outputs.
  • Strong attention to detail and a mindset for data quality and repeatability.
  • Knowledge of how to integrate AI tools into the data science workflow.
  • Advanced python skills: orchestrating workflows, incorporating cloud data, building data pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Music Industry: royalties, rights, licensing, or publishing (nice to have, not required).
  • Experience building operational tooling: trackers, validation checks, all with documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve processes and reduce manual work through automation.
