Job Title: Staff Civil Designer
Location: Kansas City, Missouri (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team in delivering civil design projects that drive development for a diverse range of clients and sites. Responsibilities:
- Design and develop civil engineering projects, including site layout, storm drainage systems, sanitary sewer utilities, and facility improvements for a variety of project types.
- Interpret and incorporate design codes, specifications, and topographical data into comprehensive construction documentation and environmental plans.
- Review, refine, and revise drawings; analyze reports, map data, and calculations to ensure quality and compliance with project criteria.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers across multiple disciplines to resolve design challenges and maintain logical project information storage.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in drafting technology or related field and 7 years of relevant experience, or Associate’s degree and 8 years of relevant experience, or 9 years of progressive detailing and design experience.
- Expertise in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Excel for developing high-quality design deliverables.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering theory, design calculations, and related design systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary project environments.
