Job Title: Analytical Chemist
Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts (On-site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated professional to play a vital role in supporting the development and optimization of analytical methods for late-phase pharmaceutical products. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine sample preparation and analysis for in-process, lot release, and stability testing using chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques.
- Utilize Waters Empower system or other liquid chromatography platforms to deliver comprehensive liquid chromatography analysis, with a focus on large molecules where applicable.
- Execute Karl Fisher Titration for water content analysis and ensure data integrity according to Good Documentation Practice using an electronic laboratory notebook system.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and operate laboratory equipment while organizing and presenting analytical data to support process development teams.
Required:
- Master’s degree; OR Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience; OR Associate’s degree with 4 years of experience; OR High school diploma/GED with 6 years of experience.
- Hands-on experience with chromatographic techniques, such as Reversed-Phase Liquid Chromatography (RPLC) and use of the Waters Empower Chromatography Data System for data management.
- Proven track record in operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of chromatographic and spectroscopic laboratory equipment in a pharmaceutical or biotech environment.
- Experience in sample preparation and analysis of synthetic small molecules and/or oligonucleotides, with strong documentation and communication skills.
