Job Title: Materials Designer
Location: Beaverton, OR (Hybrid)
Job Summary: We are seeking innovative thinkers who will help shape cutting-edge sports products through meticulous material design. Our team focuses on elevating athlete experiences by merging creative design with functional materials, enhancing the performance of sports footwear and apparel.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product design, color, graphics, and footwear developers to build seasonal narratives.
- Partner with color and graphic designers to develop seasonal packs and toolboxes.
- Focus on the creation of unique and trend-setting materials that bolster athletic performance.
- Engage in extensive trend research and incorporate findings into material design projects.
Required:
- 5-7 years of experience in a materials design role.
- Expertise in Adobe Illustrator and 3D visualization tools like Adobe Substance or Vizcom.
- Basic understanding of material types including knits, wovens, synthetics, and injections.
- Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
