Job Title: Senior Software Engineer
Location: Austin, Texas (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a driven technical professional to assist our team in the design and deployment of custom engineering solutions for large-scale projects. Our team collaborates closely with customers and various engineering groups to implement advanced test systems using industry-leading tools, supporting critical initiatives in the aerospace, defense, and government sector.
Responsibilities:
- Develop instrument drivers, test sequences, and applications using LabVIEW and TestStand for diverse test equipment.
- Collaborate with systems architects and electrical engineering teams, offering strategic guidance to improve system testability.
- Provide direct handoff and ongoing support for software test applications to customer engineering teams, including comprehensive documentation.
- Define and implement system test plans, manage project milestones, hold reviews for readiness, and verify developed tests for compliance with requirements.
Required:
- US citizenship and ability to work on ITAR projects, as well as qualify for Department of Defense clearances.
- B.S. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or another accredited engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years developing test software using LabVIEW/TestStand, including experience with PXI chassis and interfacing with analog/digital I/O cards, DMMs, oscilloscopes, switching and signal routing systems, data acquisition devices, power supplies, RF analyzers, and RF power sensors.
- Familiarity with hardware interfaces (GPIB, USB, Ethernet, serial communication protocols), high-level programming languages (LabVIEW, TestStand, C/C++/C#, Python), and the ability to work effectively in a diverse, multicultural group development environment.
