Job Title: Senior Scientist
Location: Thousand Oaks, California (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated scientist to drive advanced projects focused on lab automation and molecular biology. Our team values independence, accountability, and a results-driven approach to deliver high-quality data that supports cutting-edge research initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, conduct, monitor, analyze, and document experiments with limited supervision.
- Develop and implement new protocols for automation integration while adapting methods from scientific literature as needed.
- Troubleshoot and optimize automated workflows, equipment, and major laboratory instruments to ensure reliable data generation.
- Interpret NGS sequencing data, communicate findings to team members, and contribute to reports and scientific discussions.
Required:
- Doctorate degree (PhD or PharmD or MD) and at least 2 years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree and 5 years of experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of experience in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Bioengineering, Biotechnology, or a related field.
- Strong background in molecular biology, with hands-on experience conducting and troubleshooting laboratory experiments independently.
- Hands-on experience with laboratory automation and robotics, specifically automated liquid handling systems (Hamilton experience highly desirable).
- Ability to analyze and interpret experimental data, run Python-based scripts for reporting and NGS sequence analysis, and document findings clearly.
