Job Title: Patient Support Specialist – NJ
Location: Whippany, New Jersey (On-site)
Job Summary: We are seeking highly empathetic professionals to join our team in supporting patient access to care and prescription medications. Our team plays a vital role in ensuring smooth patient experiences by providing expert assistance, program information, and reassurance throughout every step.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to inbound and outbound calls from patients, physicians, and pharmacies to address access and reimbursement concerns.
- Provide program information, eligibility assistance, and general support for copay assistance programs.
- Maintain a strong focus on patient empathy, medication adherence, and service excellence.
- Refer escalations as needed and collaborate with internal departments to resolve issues effectively.
Required:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in health care or case management within a high-volume contact center environment.
- Knowledge of pharmacy benefits, health care insurance, and/or medical billing (preferred).
- Strong communication skills with a high level of empathy, emotional intelligence, adaptability, and critical thinking abilities.
