Job Title: Senior Java Developer
Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a talented individual to join our team, leading efforts in backend software development with a strong focus on Java and API technologies. Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and RESTful APIs.
- Implement and optimize robust frameworks, libraries, and database interactions to meet business requirements.
- Collaborate with an Agile team to deliver project goals through 2-week sprints in a financial services environment.
- Ensure best practices for API architecture, versioning strategies, exception handling, and documentation.
Required:
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Java development (Java 8+), with expertise in object-oriented programming, design patterns, multithreading, and collections.
- Proficiency in building and designing RESTful APIs, using frameworks such as Spring Boot and Spring MVC, and familiarity with API documentation tools like Swagger/OpenAPI.
- Strong experience with SQL, relational databases (Oracle or Teradata), and ORM frameworks (Hibernate/JPA).
- Demonstrated experience with DevOps processes and tools, including Maven/Gradle, Git/Bitbucket, and exposure to CI/CD environments such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or udeploy; bachelor's degree required.
