Job Title: Engineer – GSE Mechanical
Location: North Hollywood, California (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are seeking professionals with strong technical expertise to support critical mechanical engineering activities focused on assembly, integration, and ground support equipment. Responsibilities:
- Apply engineering techniques to design, install, modify, analyze, and repair mechanical systems and hardware.
- Develop and release engineering artifacts such as 3D models, drawings, specifications, and work instructions to support hardware fabrication, assembly, verification, and testing.
- Provide hands-on, on-the-floor engineering support during assembly and integration, resolving fit, alignment, and access issues and supporting nonconformance resolution.
- Collaborate with systems engineering, manufacturing, quality, test, and supply chain teams to ensure designs are producible, maintainable, and verifiable.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience designing mechanical system elements within aerospace or equivalent settings, such as aircraft, spacecraft, or launch vehicles.
- Strong mechanical design and integration skills with 3D CAD tools (e.g., Creo, NX, CATIA, SolidWorks) and experience with GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
- Hands-on experience in an assembly, integration, or test environment working directly with technicians to troubleshoot build issues and implement design changes or GSE/tooling solutions.
