Job Title: Senior Supplier Quality Engineer
Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic professional to oversee supplier quality and integration initiatives during periods of transition and change. Our team is dedicated to optimizing supplier performance and ensuring compliance by partnering with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to drive high-quality manufacturing outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Lead supplier quality due diligence and risk assessments during mergers, acquisitions, and supplier transitions.
- Support integration planning and develop supplier stabilization plans for critical and high-risk suppliers.
- Act as the primary interface between internal teams and external suppliers to establish and manage supplier quality metrics and integration KPIs.
- Conduct supplier audits, drive corrective actions, and lead process validation plans to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required, with strong preference for Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- In-depth experience with Supplier Quality, Supplier Management, and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
- Proven expertise in product manufacturing quality, process validation, DMAIC or structured problem solving, and supplier audits.
- Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience, ISO 13485 Lead Auditor certification and experience with commodities such as Extrusion, Stent, Sheet metal, machining, and electronics are preferred.
