Job Title: Senior Quality Control Inspector
Location: Baltimore, Maryland (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee and lead quality control activities while ensuring gas construction work meets strict standards and specifications. Our team relies on this role to drive quality oversight, support compliance with best practices, and provide critical guidance to project teams.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate quality control activities, including inspections, tests, and evaluations of products and construction work.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures and guidelines in alignment with industry standards and project requirements.
- Perform detailed inspections, measurements, and functional tests to ensure compliance with all applicable standards and specifications.
- Identify, document, and report defects or discrepancies while collaborating with project and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
Required:
- Minimum 7 years' experience in gas construction work affiliated with BGE, including experience with plastic and steel mains, fusing, services, and all other work types.
- Ability to obtain all required Operator Qualifications (OQ) for construction oversight and a full understanding of gas standards and construction methods.
- Experience with quality control tracking systems (AS8, uPPM, QCI preferred), and working knowledge of ServiceNow and Microsoft Outlook (3-5+ years).
- Demonstrated experience with common trench construction, as well as the ability to work overtime to ensure records are placed into required tracking systems and stakeholder commitments are met.
