Job Title: Packaging Engineering Specialist
Location: Swedesboro, New Jersey (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled professional to advance equipment evaluation, procurement, and packaging processes within a dynamic logistics environment. Our team values expertise in cost-effective solutions and regulatory compliance, ensuring optimal distribution and storage operations.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate equipment features, provide written justification for cost-effective options, and coordinate property controls for calibration and accuracy through metrology departments.
- Research and investigate requirements for material handling equipment, coordinate procurement, and analyze supplier quotations to support operational improvements.
- Maximize efficiencies for worldwide distribution and storage by developing practical packaging, material flow, and warehousing layouts in accordance with company policies and regulations.
- Develop packaging instructions, oversee hazardous materials handling and compliance, and ensure that all shipping and documentation meet federal, state, and international regulations.
Required:
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Proficiency with multiple systems for reviewing contract information and software manipulation.
- Demonstrated industrial packaging experience, preferably within aerospace or automotive settings.
- Experience supporting warehouse operations and sound decision-making abilities.
