Job Title: Java Developer
Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (On-site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled professional to oversee and enhance critical software systems that support essential financial operations. Our team relies on this position to drive impactful design and development initiatives, ensuring reliable solutions through collaboration and technical expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop Java applications using Spring Boot and microservices to support financial and trading platforms.
- Modify existing software to correct errors, adapt to new hardware, upgrade interfaces, and improve performance.
- Consult with engineering teams to evaluate hardware and software interfaces, define specifications, and resolve technical challenges.
- Develop and execute software system testing and validation procedures; advise or perform maintenance as needed.
Required:
- Proficiency in Java full stack development, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
- Demonstrated experience in database design and SQL development.
- Solid understanding of UNIX design and development principles, including Open/Closed Principle (OCP).
- Adaptability, strong communication skills (written and verbal), and proactive approach.
