Job Title: IT Business Analyst
Location: Syracuse, New York (On-site)
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced professional to lead business and systems analysis activities for large-scale technology initiatives in a regulated utilities environment. Our team values in-depth expertise working across the solution lifecycle and demonstrated functional leadership driving operational excellence in utility IT programs.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end business and systems analysis for complex enterprise initiatives, ensuring requirements are effectively captured, managed, and implemented.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in Meter to Cash processes, partnering with stakeholders to guide solution design based on utility customer system experience.
- Utilize strong data analysis skills—including writing and reviewing SQL queries—to identify, investigate, and resolve system and data errors across various environments.
- Develop and lead requirements-driven test strategies; manage and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect triage, and production validation.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
- 10+ years of experience working as a Business Analyst in complex IT or enterprise environments.
- 10+ years of hands-on experience with requirements elicitation, documentation, and lifecycle management.
- Extensive experience operating within SDLC, Agile, or hybrid delivery models.
