Job Title: Principal Engineer
Location: Thousand Oaks, California (On-site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a driven individual to support critical automation initiatives within a leading life sciences environment. Our team is seeking a talented professional to drive capital projects, optimize plant automation, and ensure ongoing compliance with industry regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Support automation capital project activities, including software development, testing, and commissioning.
- Manage daily plant operations related to automation issues and participate in on-call rotation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional groups to prepare and implement detailed design, scope, and schedules for automation projects.
- Facilitate implementation and post-implementation support for distributed control systems, programmable logic controllers, human machine interfaces, and supervisory control and data acquisition systems.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, Biotech Engineering, or a related life science engineering field.
- Direct programming experience with Rockwell and/or Emerson platforms, HMI, and/or Allen Bradley systems.
- Experience within a GMP-regulated life sciences environment supporting automation capital projects including qualification and testing.
- Demonstrated compliance with regulatory requirements such as 21 CFR Part 11 and engineering standards relevant to manufacturing process controls.
