Job Title: Senior Data Platform Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled professional to help design, build, deploy, and operate containerized data workloads within robust lakehouse architectures. Our team is focused on innovative engineering solutions that ensure reliable data platform runtimes supporting critical enterprise needs.
Responsibilities:
- Engineer and operate data platform runtimes, including Spark, Trino, and Airflow, deployed on Red Hat OpenShift.
- Partner with platform, security, and infrastructure teams, maintaining primary focus on enabling data workloads.
- Design and manage production-grade data pipelines, query engines, and orchestration platforms in containerized enterprise environments.
- Provide hands-on leadership for Apache Iceberg implementation and support ongoing data initiatives and project delivery.
Required:
- Proven expertise with Apache Iceberg (at least 5 years).
- Strong experience with CI/CD pipeline integration and image creation for open source tools.
- Hands-on proficiency with Apache Spark, Trino/Presto, Apache Airflow, Docker, Helm, OpenShift/Kubernetes, Python, and SQL.
- Ability to provide updates, feedback, and communicate effectively in both written and verbal form, demonstrating leadership, self-direction, and motivation.
