Job Title: Associate Scientist
Location: South San Francisco, California (On-site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a driven laboratory professional to join our team and contribute directly to cell surface biology research through advanced tissue culture and molecular biology workflows. Our team values technically skilled scientists who excel in collaborative, high-throughput research environments.
Responsibilities:
- Support and perform tissue culture processes for a variety of in vitro models, including cell lines and organoids.
- Conduct molecular biology experiments involving RNA/DNA handling and preparation, contributing to transcriptomic and proteomic assays.
- Assist with flow cytometry workflows and provide technical support for routine assay controls and cytometry-based studies.
- Collaborate with other scientists on experimental design, execute high-throughput assays, and present findings at internal team meetings.
Required:
- Demonstrated laboratory research experience, with strong hands-on expertise in tissue culture.
- Solid background in molecular biology, including RNA/DNA handling and purification.
- Experience operating and supporting flow cytometry assays in a laboratory setting.
- Education requirements: Master’s degree strongly preferred; Bachelor’s degree may be considered with significant laboratory and industry experience. Alternate paths include an Associate's degree with at least 4 years, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 6 years of laboratory experience.
