Job Title: Material Handling Equipment Technician
Location: Lansing, Michigan (On-site)
Job Summary: We are seeking technical professionals to support the maintenance and repair of industrial equipment within a factory and warehouse environment. Our team plays a crucial role in ensuring operational integrity, safety, and efficiency across material handling equipment through preventive maintenance and rapid response to equipment needs.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic failures in industrial equipment such as forklifts, tuggers, personnel carriers, and aerial lifts.
- Disassemble, repair, and reassemble components including electrical systems, motors, drive systems, and brakes.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and safety inspections, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Order replacement parts as needed, manage inventory, and adhere to all site safety protocols and procedures.
Required:
- Eight years of documentable, full-time experience working with forklifts, aerial lifts, tuggers, or material handling equipment (maintenance or repair only; operating experience not applicable).
- Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and diagnostic skills with demonstrated experience in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and brake systems.
- Experience administering preventive maintenance programs and ability to interpret technical schematics and equipment manuals.
- Valid Driver’s License and high school diploma or GED; physical capability to perform movements such as lifting, pinching, bending, reaching, climbing, and handling objects.
