Job Title: Associate Scientist
Location: South San Francisco, California (On-site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated team member to support specialized tissue-based assay development within a collaborative pathology laboratory environment. Our team values curiosity, engagement, and strong communication skills as we work together to drive impactful scientific projects.
Responsibilities:
- Perform tissue-based assays including immunohistochemistry (IHC), multiplex IHC, in situ hybridization (ISH), and histology work.
- Operate automated staining platforms and various imaging systems, consistently executing laboratory protocols.
- Analyze images, interpret data, and maintain thorough documentation in laboratory systems and databases.
- Collaborate closely with pathologists, scientists, and research associates to support assay development for target validation, biomarker discovery, and preclinical studies.
Required:
- Master’s degree, or Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of scientific experience, or Associate’s degree with 4 years of experience, or High school diploma/GED with 6 years of experience.
- Hands-on experience in immunohistochemistry (IHC), digital image analysis, and automated staining workflows.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating strong attention to detail and communication skills.
