Job Title: Patient Support Specialist – Late Shift
Location: Whippany, New Jersey (On-site)
Job Summary: We are seeking highly empathetic individuals to join our team in a vital role that directly impacts patient access to care. Our team is committed to managing the patient experience from start to finish by providing concierge-level support for copay assistance programs and fostering medication adherence through compassionate engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to inbound and outbound phone calls and claims from patients, physicians, and pharmacies, ensuring timely support for access to care and reimbursement needs.
- Provide program information, eligibility details, and general assurances to facilitate ease of use for copay assistance programs.
- Refer requests for escalation as needed and collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues efficiently.
- Assist with departmental administrative tasks, such as mail sorting or claims processing, as assigned.
Required:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- 1+ years of experience in a healthcare or case management environment within a high-volume contact center or similar setting preferred.
- Demonstrated customer empathy, strong emotional intelligence, and adaptability to varied situations.
- Effective communication skills, including clear verbal and written abilities, strong listening skills, and attention to proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
