Job Title: HVAC/Refrigeration Technician
Location: Andover, Massachusetts (On-site)
Job Summary: We are seeking skilled professionals to support our team in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems across multiple buildings in a life sciences campus environment. Our team values hands-on technical expertise and reliable performance to ensure operational continuity and safety of mission-critical systems.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and adjust refrigeration, HVAC, chillers, cooling towers, VAV systems, and related equipment, responding promptly to system alarms and issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on building and critical equipment including HVAC units, pumps, motors, water heaters, air compressors, and piping systems.
- Document maintenance activities, system readings, complaints, and status updates in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) database with accuracy.
- Ensure safe handling of refrigeration and compressed gases, maintain clean work areas, and assist other technicians with major repair tasks as needed.
Required:
- Active Massachusetts Refrigeration Technician License.
- High school diploma or state equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years related trade schooling or equivalent and at least 3 years’ experience working with HVAC/mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in computer-based systems including Microsoft Office and Outlook, familiarity with Building Automation Systems (BAS), CMMS, and ability to read mechanical blueprints and schematics.
