Job Title: QA Lead – Big Data
Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (On-site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled individual to lead quality assurance initiatives within the organization’s data and risk mitigation group. Our team values expertise in Python development and big data testing to drive the design and validation of critical data engineering frameworks.
Responsibilities:
- Define and implement quality assurance frameworks for Hadoop projects, including CS7 and associated jobs.
- Independently manage testing efforts using SQL, HQL, and Python to ensure data warehouse integrity.
- Collaborate with onshore and offshore teams to optimize testing and delivery models.
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly through written and verbal channels with relevant stakeholders.
Required:
- Minimum 8 years of overall professional experience, including at least 6 years working with Hadoop.
- Strong proficiency in Python development and ETL testing, with the ability to execute tasks independently.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL, HQL, and data warehouse testing within large-scale environments.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience; certifications in software testing or related areas are a plus.
