Job Title: Mechanical System Design & Analysis Engineer
Location: Long Beach, California (On-Site)
Job Summary: We support one of the world’s leading aerospace organizations by providing experienced engineering talent for design and analysis projects that advance critical mechanical systems. Our team is seeking an expert to provide engineering solutions for complex, obsolescent aircraft parts, ensuring technical excellence and continued innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Guide a team of less experienced engineers and collaborate with team management to ensure project objectives are consistently met.
- Perform system design and analysis for key aircraft functions, including air conditioning, air distribution, cabin pressure control, equipment cooling, and additional mechanical systems.
- Coordinate with cross-functional engineering teams, project engineers, suppliers, and procurement to approve analyses and deliver engineering solutions for obsolescent parts.
- Develop and refine analytical processes to improve effectiveness, quality, and efficiency in the engineering design cycle.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Civil, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering.
- 8+ years of experience with engineering disciplines related to aircraft Environmental Control Systems analysis, including ATA 21 air conditioning, air distribution/supply, cabin pressure control, equipment cooling, and related areas.
- 5+ years of experience working in a commercial aircraft environment.
- Experience and proficiency in 2D and 3D design, including knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and familiarity with tools such as CatiaV5 (systems routing), Enovia, and other related engineering platforms.
